So hey! It’s the middle of the year already! Can you believe it?
Let’s all take a moment to pause and just breathe…
*deep breaths in and out*
So for the past month, I’ve been busy with some workshops and a couple of projects, and it has been a wonderful experience! Thank you Lianne (http://www.liannebacorro.com) for capturing these moments.
My first ever speaking engagement was for the Boss Bellas workshop by Manila Workshops, where I got to talk about my life as a working mom and also about branding your business. I never really thought about it, but I guess sharing information is also a passion of mine, and might as well be my purpose.
I enjoyed the fulfillment it brought me, that I decided – more like a spur of the moment decision – to be a sponsor for the #GetBlisstified3 workshop too. I wasn’t physically present, but I sent the participants some inspo cards, and Martine also talked about my branding, along with the rest of the sponsors.
If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion. Your passion will lead you right into your purpose. – Bishop T.D. Jakes
Today. I’d like to officially launch my blog series, Passion + Purpose, Personal Branding formula.
If you’ve been following me here and in my social media platforms, you’ll know that I’ve been building up and working on my passion project, which is to pursue graphic design. But behind every passion, there is a purpose. My purpose is not only to help entrepreneurs & brands build up their identities, be able to tell their stories, and eventually to pursue a brand with value; but also to equip them with the right information and proper tools to build their ventures.
Wedding themes, just like birthday party themes, seem to have reached a whole new level! And I’m not talking about the generic themes like Shabby Chic, Vintage, and Hollywood Glam etc. I’m pertaining to those one-of-a-kind weddings, that usually tell a story about the couples’ favorite things or hobbies. I’ve heard and read about Star Wars weddings, Disney weddings, Travel-themed weddings, Harry Potter weddings, and the list goes on!
Well, for my sister’s wedding, I was given the challenge of designing a Job Fair-slash-Resume type of invitation! (more…)
They say when you’re somewhere you need to be or you’re destined to do something, chances are the Universe will conspire to put you in that place and time or give you the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
That’s exactly what happened when I joined the Get Blisstified workshop.
So for the past few weeks I have been indulging myself in personal development, by researching, studying and learning, engaging in facebook “support” groups, and also planning my next, actionable steps for my newly found purpose – to be able to help others tell their story and build their brand.
While I’m doing that, my friend and coach, Kimi Lu, suggested that I make name logos for friends because they turn out to be great marketers. So I took her advice and made it my personal project to make some for our GetBlisstified group (Thanks Kimi! This was an awesome idea). It’s also my one-of-a-kind Christmas present to them, since we’re going through our passion projects together. They can use it as their submark or watermark, their email or blog signature, and even a site header if they wish to do so. (more…)
Hi there! I’m glad you found me here! Really, I’m excited you dropped by….
You see, I’m kind of turning over a new leaf. After years of accepting small graphic design projects here and there just as a sideline, I’ve finally decided to make my graphic design work into a full time passion project and creative pursuit!
So please, stay a while, and browse through my site. It’s still a work in progress, but I’m very proud of it so far!
A little backstory…
I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture and then worked for a design firm for 4 years. Until I decided to become a full time mom to my first born child. I tried working from home, to keep me busy whilst helping with our expenses. I tried entrepreneurship, virtual assistance, and blogging. But none of those seemed sustainable enough, because my real passion rooted in the Arts.(more…)
Faye practices Occupational Therapy, she has a small sensory gym she uses in her practice – sessions involve a lot of sensorimotor/movement-based activities (e.g. child on a tire swing, on a platform swing, net swing, etc.) and also fine motor exercises. Together with other doctors, their clinic serves children with special needs (e.g. children with autism or with sensory processing disorders, children with developmental delays).
I felt so happy to take on this project for her, when she asked me to create a logo, most especially because it’s for children. (more…)

Marge and I have been working together for quite a while now. She’d book me for graphic works from time to time, so when she asked me to help her with her branding, I felt flattered of course.
Marge started her passion project just last year. Having a Virtual Assistance career, she felt the need to de-stress once in a while, and realized her crocheting hobby to be a self-sufficient business venture. (more…)
Angel is a work at home mom and entrepreneur. With a background in HR and a passion for entrepreneurship, she has been able to establish Keishables — a brand inspired by her daughter, Keisha — as a go-to resource for ribbon supplies and ribbon-making workshops.
When Angel asked me to make her logo, she had plans to elevate her business into a passion project. I also got to work alongside Martine de Luna, who is Angel’s brand coach at that time. (more…)
